Implants
A dental implant is a titanium screw like prosthesis that comes in different sizes and shapes.

Anyone who is missing one, multiple or all teeth and is in good health is a candidate for dental implant to replace missing teeth. Implants can also be used to stabilize the dentures, so that the dentures do not move during function.

Placing an implant is a simple procedure where we make a channel in the jaw bone through a series of drills for the right size and shape of implant. Once the implant is placed it requires 4 to 5 months of healing time. After the healing phase, impressions are taken to place a crown on the implant. Sometimes there is not enough height or width of the bone to properly place the implant; in that case a bone graft is required.
